The last memories in the middle east (1)

The start in the Middle East was quite sudden, and in some ways, life wasn't easy. Of course, when I say life wasn't easy, I mean it was enjoyable, always challenging, and filled with excitement every day. The first impression of Dubai was incredibly strong. (View of Dubai Downtown from the west of Dubai - 10/26/2020) After a flight of over 10 hours from Korea, I arrived in Dubai. The sunset light shining through the brown sand dust, and the skyscrapers that looked like a bundle of arrows gathered together, evoked more excitement about being in a new place than worry about living in the Middle East. I still remember the bags we picked up at the airport: exactly 23 suitcases and boxes, and naturally, we rented a van. The back seat of the van was filled with our two kids and luggage, and thinking back, it was quite a nerve-wracking drive.
